Alan has painted full time since 1990; he studied at Hartford College of Art leaving to go into the advertising industry. The desire and the need to paint became the overriding passion and portrait painting in traditional oils is Alan’s sole object.

Portraits commissions are taken and all portraits are painted to the very best standard.

Alan’s works have been accepted by the Royal Society of Portrait painters (London) and has also been exhibited at the Mall Gallery London, Warrington Art Gallery, Whitby Art Gallery, and G Mex Manchester.

Alan is Manchester born and bred, and still retains his roots in Manchester.
